The VIAIR 400P-Automatic Portable Compressor offers inflation of up to 35-inch tires, and operation at up to 150 PSI for up to 15 continuous minutes at a time, providing that there are 30 minutes provided afterwards for the unit to cool sufficiently. More than just a compressor, the 400P is a complete portable compression system, coming complete with an inflation gun with 200 PSI air pressure gauge, a 25′ extension hose with quick connect coupler and lever chuck, a heavy duty sand tray with vibration isolators, a 8′ power cable, a heavy duty sand tray with vibration isolators, a 3-piece inflation tips kit, an inline fuse holder, a deluxe zippered carry bag and dual heavy duty direct battery clamps. The unit comes with an automatic shutoff function that will power down the 400P when the compressor is turned on, but not actively filling tires – making it unnecessary to turn the unit off between tire fills. In addition, the included closed-ended tire inflation gun allows for on-the-fly tire pressure reading, without having to turn the unit off to check tire pressure.

About Compressor Duty Cycle
Compressor duty cycle refers to amount of time a compressor can be operated in a given time period, at 100 PSI and at a standard ambient temperature of 72°F. Duty Cycle is commonly expressed in percentile as: compressor on time (compressor on time + off time) %. As an example, a compressor that is rated for 25% duty cycle means that compressor can be operated at: 100 PSI @ 72°F for 10 minutes on and 30 minutes off. 10 min. on / (10 min. on + 30 Min. off) = 10 min. / 40 Min = 25% duty cycle.
